We are living in a new, ever-changing world, and like many industries, the real estate market has evolved to fit the needs of buyers and sellers in today’s environment. Even though we have seen quite a few changes in recent months, there are several exciting opportunities that I want to help my clients take advantage of — low interest rates, the fast rate at which homes are selling and more!
At the beginning of the spring, we saw sellers hold-off on putting their homes on the market in fear that their home might be sitting for months. This summer we have seen a resurgence. Homes are selling quickly and buyers are enjoying lower than ever interest rates!
Real estate isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach and I know for each of my clients, goals look different. I want to offer a few tips for those who might be considering putting their home on the market or those looking to buy a new home.
- If you are debating on whether or not it’s the right time to sell your home, let’s talk about it. We currently have a sellers market and many people are selling their home for asking price and above. It may be the perfect time for you to take a leap and place your home on the market. - Interest rates are at an all time low, making this a great time to buy. We are seeing amazing interest rates at 3% or lower. This is a great opportunity for first time home buyers, those looking for investment properties and those looking to make a change. There are so many incredible mortgage products available. I encourage you to reach out to a reputable lender to help you find the right product to meet your needs.
- There is absolutely nothing wrong with renting until you find the perfect home. Sometimes my sellers find themselves ready to sell their home but not quite ready to seal the deal on a new home for themselves. When that’s the case, it’s okay to rent until you find the right home for you. Whether you are a first time home buyer or seasoned home owner, renting for a little while could give you the time and perspective you need to buy right.
